If you're reading this, you've agreed to a few simple things. The text, images, and design of this site belong to us unless attributed otherwise. You can quote short passages with credit, but please don't republish the catalogue, product photos, or written content wholesale. We list prices in good faith and they're current as of publication, but anything we list — prices, availability, hours, lead times — can change. We reserve the right to turn down a booking or order, with a full refund. We stand behind what we make: if something arrives damaged, isn't what you ordered, or doesn't meet the description, tell us and we'll repair, replace, or refund without argument. None of this affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer where you live.

If you'd like to access, update, port, or erase any personal information we have on file, please contact us — we'll act on it within thirty calendar days, at no charge. You have the right to withdraw consent for any future processing, to restrict how we use existing records, and to ask that your data be moved to another service in a portable format. Records subject to legal retention (orders, invoices) cannot be deleted before the required period elapses, but everything else can. Each piece is cut and set by hand. Facet geometry, surface finish, and setting height carry small differences from piece to piece, and a remake of the same design will not be identical to the first. This is a property of hand work.
Natural stones contain inclusions. I will show you the inclusions in your specific stone before setting it, at magnification if you want. An inclusion disclosed and accepted is not a defect.
A commission starts with a deposit that covers materials. Once a stone is cut or metal is cast, the deposit is not refundable — the material is committed. I will tell you exactly when that point is reached before it happens.
Resizing is available for most designs, though full-eternity settings and some tension settings cannot be resized. I will tell you which category your piece falls into before you order, not after.
Japanese law governs; the Kyoto District Court has jurisdiction at first instance.
I work alone, so the queue is real and it moves at one person's pace. I will give you an honest date at the start and tell you early if it slips, rather than going quiet.
As the range of work I take on changes, these terms change. The revised text and its effective date appear on this page; continuing to use the site after that date means you accept them.
If part of this is unenforceable, the rest holds. Nothing here is meant to displace the rights a commissioning client has under Japanese law.

Metal is specified by alloy and stated on the invoice. Where a piece is heavy enough to require hallmarking under Japanese practice, it is hallmarked; below that threshold the invoice is the record.
Stones are described by species and treatment. Where a stone has been heated or otherwise treated — most sapphire has — I say so plainly rather than omitting it.
I am responsible for the workmanship, the materials as described, and the security of stone settings at the point of delivery. Settings loosen with wear; annual checks are free.
